R2D2 Project

Aretoo, the famous atsromech droid from the Star Wars universe is a beloved character by many and some like myself have risen to the challenge of creating a life-size fully operational replica. This is one of my longer term projects and don’t see myself finishing for 5-10 years the earliest. Aretoo requires custom fabricated parts ranging from sheet metal, 3D prints, electronics and much much more. Most recently I have designed a 3D model of R2D2 in Creo parametric to have throughout the build. Next steps will probably include making a more detailed 3D model with actuators, drivers, motors, hinges and other mechanisms in SolidWorks. #Maytheforcebewithyou
